I purchased a Doughboy Ultra Vac to assist in the maintenance of my pool. How efficiently does it work and how do I connect it to the pool? The Doughboy Ultra Vac automatic pool vacuum provides an excellent way to clean any coved in-ground or above-ground pool from 3 feet to 9 feet deep. Its flow and performance have been engineered for ease of use and cleaning effectiveness. It is aggressive in its approach to seek out and vacuum up debris on the pool bottom and sidewall. The durable footpad provides traction for efficient pool movement while the 5 hose weights allow the vac to easily access deep swimming areas. The custom rub-bar provides additional balance for the pool vacuum in deep water. This reduces the chance of the vacuum getting tangled or blocked on most pool ladders or stairs. The buoyancy ring keeps the vac at a proper angle and assures continuous mobility. To connect your Doughboy Ultra Vac: Once you have attached the vacuum hose to the vacuum head, it is necessary to fill the vacuum hose with water. The easiest way to do this is by using the water coming from the return in the pool. Keep your pump running and the filter in filter operating position. Then simply plug the Doughboy Ultra Vac into the vacuum port located on the skimmer faceplate. Remove the lid from the skimmer and place it down into the existing shelf inside the skimmer body. This provides suction to the vacuum port, thus activating your new Doughboy Ultra Vac!
