A little mash up/ commentary on some old sayings put to music.

No man is an island
But I'm a damn good peninsula
And nobody's scaling the wall
My thoughts are my castle
My actions my ship
So my mind goes where destiny calls

Why must people go
To the bottom their hearts
To say the kind words that they say?
If you can't find your words
By just scratching the surface
You might as well give them away

All that glitters is gold
And though silence is golden
He who never speaks, never shines
Things come to the patient
And though it's a virtue
You won't change any water to wine

With the wind in our sails
We sail uncharted waters
In search of a rose among thorns
But the sea's a cruel mistress
And hell hath no fury
To compare to a woman scorned
