Contemporary dance piece collaborating with Finnish and Japanese artists ("TURKU2011" European Capital of Culture - Official Program)
Conception/Direction : Yuzo Ishiyama
How we can coexist and have dialogue with others who have different cultural background? --- this is the main theme of "CatB."
For that, the Finnish-Japanese mixed creation team aim to break off from the traditional 'contemporary dance' and introduce a new creation/development method.
"CatB" was created in a unique approach developed by the director/choreographer, Yuzo Ishiyama - he applied 'The bazaar method' of LINUX development to dance creation. (LINUX is the most flexible and leading-edge OS now.)
The stage is filled with realities of city dwellers, and the dancers perform lively without depersonalizing their characters.
