Designer, photographer, and documentarian Mathieu Bitton has been obsessed with Blaxploitation, R&B, and jazz since he was a prepubescent Parisian. Since coming to LA as a teenager trying to make it in music he's worked with renowned artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Wonder, and Marvin Gaye. His work has received international acclaim and numerous awards, including a Grammy nomination. We had the chance to sit down and talk to him about his French Jewish background, his work in the worlds of Blaxploitation, R&B, and soul, and modern-day discrimination in our latest Countdown to 2042.
