MSL Curiosity rover descent and landing with the skycrane to the surface of Mars on August 5, 2012 at 10:31 PM PDT. The video was assembled from publicly available images from MSL's MARDI camera available at JPL/NASA website. It has been enhanced with slight noise reduction and contrast enhancement. Full frame motion interpolation (tweening) starts at 7 seconds into the video, increasing the frame rate from 5fps to 25fps.

The video was NOT stabilized - you can see the "wrist mode" dynamics of the lander under the parachute. This is what you would see if you had hitched a ride with MSL!
