This Rio de Janeiro short film was shot exclusively using a Nikon D800 then mastered in Ultra HD 8K. Due to YouTube restrictions this film clip has been down converted then uploaded in 4K. The quality of your viewing experience will depend on the resolution of your monitor and your internet speed.
Also, this time-lapse image sequence footage used for this film was shot this past summer during a 10 day trip to Rio with a couple of friends. It is important to bring friends who are willing to carry gear. I really enjoyed the uniqueness and beauty of Rio and I am glad to have checked it off of my "bucket list".
In this short film, I wanted to share with you some of my everyday experiences while in Rio. Rio is such a beautiful place and with the Olympics and World Cup coming soon I felt I needed to visit and shot the many incredible sites that Rio offers and share them with others. I know have a much greater appreciation for Rio. I didn't sleep much because of the early morning sunrises and late night sunsets that I shot, though I was able to take a few naps. If you ever get a chance to visit Rio, watching the sunrises and sunsets is certainly worth the effort.
I am very interested in reading your comments and hearing about your suggestions for other possible shooting locations throughout the world. I love to travel. Where should I go next?
Some of the locations: Sugarloaf (Pão de Açúcar), Cristo Redentor, Ipanema Beach, Copacabana Beach and Praia Vermelha Beach.
Thanks for watching!
