United Nations - According to UNEP, at the 2010 International Tiger Summit in St. Petersburg, Governments of 13 countries that host tiger populations agreed to double tiger numbers by 2022 and endorsed the St. Petersburg Declaration in a historic effort to save the Asian big cat from extinction. They also assigned 29th July as International Tiger Day.
