We've all been there, am I right?

Thanks to Maggie Starbard and Zac Visco for being great cinematofriends, and thanks to Ilse for being such a awesome sport.

You've got something on your tooth (I'm not sure what)
But you clearly haven't felt it
I would let you know the truth (and nothing but)
But I don't know you that well yet

Ran into to you a month ago
I asked you out last week
This is our first real date
So I'm hesitant to speak
You might be embarassed
If I told you, so I won't.
What is that - a piece of carrot?
Now you've got it! No you don't.
(I would have thought that your tongue could dislodge it but no)

Now it's in between two teeth (it's so much worse)
Where it's so much more distracting
I try to listen when you speak (it's like a curse)
I hope my face is not reacting ... this is so taxing

I'm sure your face is beautiful
But all that I can see
Is that piece of food material
Staring back at me

(We're gonna break it down)

Baby listen - your teeth glisten!
But now they've go something in them.
Some food was delayed on its way from your plate
To your gastrointestinal system

You've got grace, you've got style
In your face, in your smile
But there's something else in your smile
And it's been there quite a long while.

(Here's the key change, modulation)

I can't take any more
I think I'll cry or laugh soon
I run through the door
Of the gentleman's bathroom.
I hardly can believe it, but the mirror holds the proof
I've got something on my tooth too.

Happy Valentines Day!
