How to make Crochet Puff Stitch Scarf. #CrochetGeek


0:00This will be a puff stitch scarf
0:02using four ply yarn and a size K crochet hook
0:08this is the type of yarn I am using for this project
0:11I will be using the whole skein
0:13which is 260 yards
0:15or 238 meters
0:18the scarf is approximately seven inches wide
0:24or eighteen centimeters wide
0:27the multiple is two
0:30so you will add two chains, for each additional puff stitch that you want to add to your scarf
0:35of you will subtract two chains to make it smaller in width
0:40we're going to put a slip knot on the crochet hook
0:44take the end with the tail, wrap it over the main strand of yarn
0:47wrap the loop over the main strand
0:50put the hook below
0:53and back up to the opposite side
0:56and this creates the slip knot

5:54and I'm put the hook right through this loop here

6:12work a puff stitch in the top of the next puff stitch
6:59chain to secure
7:01you will continue all the way across
7:03this is who you will complete each row
7:05there will be nine puff stitches in each row
7:09now I'm starting my 44 row
7:13working the first puff stitch
8:00now I'm finishing up the last stitch
8:02pull the yarn through
8:05cut the yarn
8:08pull the tail on through, give it a tug
8:11I have ended up with 56 rows of the puff stitch
8:17you can continue and make it as long as you want to
8:21and this is what it looks like on the sides
8:23and I'm going to leave it just like that and not put any edge on
8:29and that completes the puff stitch scarf
