Kelly and Boxer are in desperate need of a new home. The two have been together their entire lives, but due to a difficult family situation, their owner had to surrender them. Boxer, the whit male, is in charge of the pack. He keeps an eye on Kelly and the children and takes his time to get to know everyone. But once he gets to know you, he is a loyal and affectionate dog and likes to play.
Kelly arrived a year after Boxer and is at first shy around people. Get her to chase a ball or give her a treat and she will be glad to know you. Sometimes she thinks that chasing a ball doesn't include bringing it back. She also likes to stay close to people that she likes and will try to be a "lap dog".
Both dogs have grown up with young children and are excellent around them. Kelly is good with dogs and cats; and Boxer is good with most dogs as well.
Both Kelly & Boxer are housebroken, though like all dogs in a new environment may need a quick refresher. They both have spent a lot of time outside on a one acre piece of property in rural New Jersey, so they really enjoy being outside.
In a perfect world we would like to place both dogs together, but understand the challenge and would be willing to place them separately. Kelly would do best with another dog, while Boxer would prefer to be on his own or in the company of a smart dog. They are both up to date on all their shots. These beautiful dogs would love to be loyal family members and are loving and great companions! adopt Kelly OR Boxer!
