CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A judge puts a Middletown man on probation in connection with a starving dog.
Bert Brashear entered a plea to animal cruelty charges. Dee, the pit bull, was found at a home on Navaho Street in deplorable condition. Brashear told the judge he had surgery and thought his step son was caring for Dee. The dog was nursed back to health by the Animal Friends Humane Society. Brashear was ordered to pay restitution to the group.
