The special train from San Jose to Santa Cruz via Watsonville Junction, in May 1996, to commemorate the Southern Pacific excursion of the same name, which operated from the 1920s to the late 1950s. CalTrain double-deck suburban cars, with EMD F40PH locos at either end. Part 1 - from San Jose Diridon station via Watsonville Junction, and then - very slowly- down the freight-only Davenport branch, to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
