in K.C., the glorified tomaine joint in the background apparently has been attracting a lot of people with not enough class to understand or use the honor/service-by-gratuities system. The managers and staff have been known to encourage both ignoring of the sidewalk entertainment, making sweeping generalizations, and in a few rare cases at least indirect hostility including encouragement of police harassment. The most obvious example being one with the main agitating agent/perpetrator being an apparently unbalanced, alcoholically over-served old lady (and I use the term loosely), apparently either waiting for a table who objected to the content (!) of a well-known standard parody (of R. Newman tune) played to the entire passing-by outdoor public, by Danny, which hints the need to tip in the satirical lyrics, voicing her ignorance before being encouraged to try to employ the flat foots! The disporpotionate amount of stingy teenagers and young adults in the area is also not a good sign, and fits in solidly with the hypothesis that the joint is helping what is already examples of low class upbringing (or pseudo-preppy, low life) encouraged by the ignorance of the joint's influence. Pehaps the young folks in in serious question, should learn about respect and a work ethic and better management of their trust funds and allowances! And as to the subject tomaine joint, talk about having things in reverse, to have this attitude rather than being grateful Danny is keeping folks in the area entertained, not to mention their missing of the opportunity to negotiate a way to insure, on their own gumption, that he's a regular addition there and/or on the indoor portion of that particular biz.
