Steven Miller is a 20 year old college freshman and star football player. At seventeen, he tells us about his frustration at being blocked from saying what he wants to say when he wants to say it. Steven was near quitting his high school football team, which he loved, because his stuttering embarrassed him and the teasing frustrated him. When his teammates voted him captain he realized that he had to go forward and pursue his dreams, whether he stuttered or not. Steven discusses his journey from shame to self-acceptance. Steven's mother tells us how he once avoided talking and has since begun opening up and speaking more freely.
