About our refineries: each model has all stainless steel tanks and plumbing, integrated methanol recovery, proprietary overlap batch process flow, and a new drywash system. The construction, the fluid dynamics, motors, pumps, the batch speed, tank design, safety, and fire suppression are all best in breed, and all mounted in a spill proof vented mobile platform. We have engineered our entire system making them the safest, most user-friendly processors available today. We manufacture small, mobile, low cost, turnkey, refineries. Our units are not just a processor, they are a complete work environment that is also mobile. We are selling industrial equipment designed to run 24-7-365 with little or no maintenance. These mobile refineries pay for themselves in less than six months after which they become "money refineries". Making the assumption you have a fairly clean oil meaning it has settled, and dewatered, we pump it in to the trailer through a 600 micron screen into the our heated pressurized filter system. This tank heats and pushes the oil through a 100 micron bag filter and down the line, filling one of the reaction tanks, each tank is 125 gallons. It is a "batch process" which has many advantages for midscale light industrial fuel production, primarily quality control. We use a tower based drywash thermax resin system to wash and polish the finished fuel. Using a pre-filter; 10 micron in, then an another 10 micron after the cleaning down to a 2 micron on the way out to the fuel pump or tank. (What you buy at the pump typically is filtered down to 8 microns) We are 4 times cleaner, and endeavor to make premium, super clean fuel that passes the highest testing standards. Additionally we have a fully integrated inline and overlapped methanol recovery system that can be used for both clearing methanol from the glycerin and the B100. Vegetable oil is a tri-glyceride, there are three fatty acid chains (tri) bound to one alcohol molecule and one molecule of glycerin. To produce biodiesel, the glycerin is split away with the aid of a catalyst (KOH) and the remaining free-floating fatty acid chains are then capped off with a lower level alcohol molecule such as methanol. Methanol is presently the lowest cost option. The trans esterification processes merely a heated mixing process, where warm veggie oil is mixed in the presence of a catalyst. It is then cleaned dry washed, polished and ready to pump.
