A new study shows elephant poaching is on the rise in Kenya, apparently driven by increased demand for ivory in Asian countries, and, in particular, China.

The conservation group Save the Elephants says poachers looking for a quick profit from ivory's climbing prices have brazenly decimated the elephant population by as much as 56 percent in the last few years.
