Roman Catholic Womenpriests ordained Janice Sevre-Duszynska on Augl 9th, 2008 in the first historic ordinations in the south in Lexington, Kentucky. Dana Reynolds, the first elected U.S. bishop from the Western Region presided. Ft. Roy Bourgeois, a Maryknoll priest, broke ranks with clerical male hierarchy, by endorsing the ordination of Roman Catholic Womenpriests as an integral dimension of the church's social justice mission. This is a movie of the homily that is causing a seismic shift in the Roman Catholic Church from a male-dominated hiearchical control to a people-empowered Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered community of equals. Roman Catholic Women priests have been ordained by Roman Catholic Womenbishops who were ordained by Roman Catholic male bishops in full communion with the pope. Therefore, our ordinations are valid. We are breaking an unjust law that disciminates against women in the church. Janice Sevre Duszynska is a validly ordained priest and with this endorsement from Fr. Roy Bourgeois, we look forward to many of our brothers standing in solidarity with Roman Catholic Womenpriests and calling for the renewal of our beloved Roman Catholic Church.
