sorry for the quality of the video and please bear in mind I am NOT a normal reviewer of software/hardware or anything for that matter. I just thought I would put up proof that iOS 7 beta can run on the iPod 5th gen with some flaws.

sorry the video might be boring. the point is to show you various features of the new version. Your device MUST be registered with Apple as a developer device or else it will NOT activate. I had someone add mine. You can find people on the links below that can add your device to their developer account for a fee. You send money at your own risk and I take no responsibility in that. Also you restore the iOS 7 ispw restore file to your devices at your own risk.

http://www.apple.com/ios/ios7/ - for more information on this soon to come release

https://developer.apple.com/register/... - register to be a developer here. Costs $99 a year!

http://imzdl.com/index.php - website where you can register your device for under $10

http://imzdl.com/ios.php - download ipsw firmware files for your device here. make sure you choose the right device!!

https://www.facebook.com/iMZDL - their facebook page

You can download the iOS firmware at the link above even if you havent registered yet. I used the torrent link for ipod touch. If you have problems downloading torrents then you can download the Torch web browser which looks pretty much like Chrome. Just download the torrent file after you have installed Torch and click on it. The torrent will begin after you click OK on the box that pops up. Basically it asks you to confirm the files you want to download.

I restored my ipod to the ipsw file and no your device doesnt need to be JB. mine wasnt. But you risk losing it as I do not know much about all of that. Might want to read up on JB if you insist on having your device JB'd.

Enjoy if you decide to do this but like i said, you do so at your own risk. Some boards i read people said their cameras didnt work. Everything tests out fine on mine. Below are a few of the issues I have seen so far.

1. sync error messages but music/movies still sync to the device
2. Kik messenger crashes when opening
3. short lag when opening some apps
4. Flickr app is installed but says "waiting" as if it is waiting to be installed still
5. only once has the device rebooted itself but within seconds came back to the lock screen
6. When organizing my bookmarks in safari there was some freezing and was unable to scroll through bookmarks. I just went back a screen and viewed bookmarks again and worked fine.
