In this video we are talking about the in-house developed methods for dealing with free form structures. We are able to take a free form surface, divide it, define (code) different types of structural members, connections and facade elements and "with one click": - export the geometry to the static analysis program - generate the complete 3D geometry - generate the 2D workshop plans for all elements
The methods are developed in C++ in form of a plug-in for Rhinoceros 3D.
The point made is that we need a shift in the way we think about modern structures. Nowadays we can simply define the rules of geometry generation for different architectural elements and completely automate the construction/production process.
The piano in the background (if anyone cares) is an improvisation by Milos Dimcic.
