Johnson successfully and effectively played every position on the floor including center when called upon. Jordan was not capable of that.

Greatest PG? How about the greatest of all time PERIOD!  Add in the intangibles: Knowing where everyone was, no matter what, which led to his no-look passes.  Helped speed up the game with Showtime, something that's still very prevalent today. We owe a lot, if not the vast majority, of the faster game to Magic Johnson.  Easily top 5 all time in the Transition game.(maybe best of all time in that category) Knew he wasn't a great scorer so made it up elsewhere. 138 Triple Doubles, second to Wilt all time, and far far above anyone currently playing (100 over LeBron) Most Triple Doubles in playoffs 30 Only player in NBA history to average at least 22 points, 12 assists and 6 rebounds for a season (twice 1987, 1989) Highest Career per game average in assists 11.2 Total of 10,141 total assists. Most steals in season 208. Most assists in playoffs 2346 (Only player with at least 2000) One of only 4 players to win an NCAA Championship and NBA Championship is consecutive years. Only player to ever win MVP as a Rookie. When it came time to draw up the final play, find out who was going to get the ball, shoot the ball, take the foul and more, the Lakers didn't go to Riles, they went to Magic. Magic was the one who drew it up. Magic used the clipboard.  Basketball is far from my favorite sport, so I might be wrong on this, but: I believe Magic Johnson is the only H.O.F'er to play all positions on the floor for extended periods. If I recall correctly, in the 1986-1987 season, when Kareem went down to surgery (eye, I believe), Magic played Center for over a month in the regular season and again in the playoffs for a couple games in relief of Kareem, whose career was nearing it's end, since he retired in 89.

Greatest PG of all time? How about greatest of all time! Ok...so maybe that's Jordan..but for me, he is the best. He got me interested in basketball and I believe he is the best leader of all time. All time GOAT list..Magic is 2nd no doubt.
Guys like Magic as well as Larry Bird, easily the 1st and second best players of their time, put regular whoopings to Jordan until they were both at the end of their careers and out of their primes, even then they still beat him many times. In my opinion both are top 3-4 all time players.
Magic is the greatest all around 137 triple doubles period jordan couldn't do that shyt with is best pair of hanes

Folks, Please understand that comparing Magic Johnson to Michael Jordan is very much like comparing Apples and Oranges. They both inspired guys around them to be better but they did it in a different way. With that being said, you'll win with either one. Jordan 6 titles. Johnson 5 titles. Neither are a stranger to winning as you could see.
