Here's the Scottish pibroch Catriona's (Catherine's) Lament (theme and first few variations) off my CD Holy Wood (2001) played on my Gwydion wire strung harp, and featuring Barry Phillips on cello. I use a montage of stills of early Caswell Harps as a vehicle.
Pibroch (piobaireachd) is the ancient high art music of the Scottish bagpipes. My mentors as a piper were Donald MacPherson and Donald Shaw Ramsay. I started plaing this music on the harp around 1973.
