Winner of the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, The Cove follows a high-tech dive team on a mission to discover the truth about the international dolphin capture trade as practiced in Taiji, Japan. Utilizing state-of-the-art techniques, including hidden microphones and cameras in fake rocks, the team uncovers how this small seaside village serves as a horrifying microcosm of massive ecological crimes happening worldwide.

The Cove exposes not only the tragedy of dolphin slaughtering in Japan, but also the dangerously high levels of mercury in dolphin meat and seafood, the cruelty in capturing dolphins for entertainment, and the depletion of our oceans fisheries by worldwide seafood consumption. We also see how the mandate of the International Whaling Commission has been manipulated by the Japanese Fisheries Agency for its benefit and its subsequent effect on the rest of the world.

So you don't like admitting you have blood on your hands too, huh?  Fucking hypocritical yellow monkey.  You sound like a pathetic bitch that couldn't even last six seconds going toe to toe with me.  As for the American Indians, we settled our differences with them over 120 years ago.

I'd like to formally apologize to all the dolphins in the aquarium shows I watched as a kid. I'm sorry I supported people doing that shit to you.

+roroo la It's alright, as long as we don't do it again. From now on, I'm only going to parks with dolphins and such if the animals are rescues.

you think dolphins are are so cute in the dolphin shows? Well you know what? They are really being abused. Never buy a pass or a ticket to a dolphin show. (besides Clearwater Aquarium because they rescue the dolphins there.)

Write to the California State Assembly in Sacramento in support of AB-2140, the Orca Welfare and Safety Act.  Take the Pledge: Don't buy a ticket to a dolphin show.
Alice Mulligan
Don't buy a ticket! These beautiful creatures belong in the ocean--wild & free. "When we return wild animals to nature, we merely return them to what is already theirs. For man cannot give wild animals freedom, they can only take it away." - Jacques Cousteau

am I the only male into this sort of thing because for some reason most of you dolphin lovers seem to be female. just pointing that out.
Charlotte Nash
we already know enough about Dolphins, we don't need to keep them anymore, any research that is done in captivity can be done in the wild, it's not educational, it's outdated and wrong

this is sick.

What's wrong with these sea parks? Anyone knows not to tap on even a home aquarium or fish bowl, and they subject dolphins with such incredible sonar to such noise? Idiots
T. Angel Buddy
Very well said I'm glad he made this video no marine animals should be in a concrete pool and crap water they should all be Taken 2 large Oceanic pens to learn to be wild again and then released they're not here for people to make money off of them as well as circus animals know what actually no animal should be abused and that's what it is animal abuse
