I wrote and performed this original with my little sister! :)
I'm all but gone
in the middle of this land of heat and bone
This coarse wind blowin'
stretches all across the fire fire and the stone

This sickness growing
rotting from the inside out like an old tree
has got me thinking
what i ought to do for what was done to me

Guide me home
this trouble's just too much for me to bear
guide me me home
me soles are growing thin and my eyes are showing wear

These hands are wanting
though the others tore the skirt from the seams
these things we bear
the sisters and the mothers only dream

Don't know where you've gone to
but I hope I'll see you there

Awesome! My only suggestion: Take away the title "tribute to FLDS runaways". The best songs shouldn't tell you what they're about. Let the listener fill in his own interpretations.
I composed it but could not remember how it went or the words half the time, and she made sure that we stayed on track and remembered everything. :)
@mandapop :D
@Greathiway I'd love to make an album. I'll keep you all updated. :)
@Hakunushi I know. Try listening with headphones. :) This maxes out my computer's puny speakers.
@ChristopherMarlowe Warren Jeffs, the old prophet, was just sentenced to life in prison.
Sister says: capo's on the fifth fret, and the chords are Em, C, G, D and the chorus is Am, C and G.
