The Dales Way is one of Britain’s best loved, most written about, most beautiful long-distance walks.
Starting at Ilkey in West Yorkshire the 82 mile route follows a river route to Bowness-on-Windermere in the Lake District. The walk has recently featured on Clare Balding’s Radio 4 Ramblings programme (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04gwlf8)
Devised by Colin Speakman, the original guide has been updated by Skyware (http://www.skyware.co.uk/dalesway.htm ) with large-scale, full colour, strip maps with detailed description of the route, together with insightful accounts of the places and features of interest along the way. Colin makes a special guest appearance in the video and lifts our spirits during another downpour!
