These pieces were performed in Heidelberg, Germany at Palais Prinz Carl on June 22nd, 2011. They were the result of two months of hard work and rehearsal by over forty students from Pepperdine University's music department. We were advised by a number of illustrious, wise, and talented coaches, and in a series of four (separate) concerts over the span of four nights, we presented a broad variety of wonderful and well-loved music, from Mozart's Zauberflöte to Franz Liszt's Lieberstraume to a piece of my own.

Bees-Wax Rag is just fun. I believe it is a transcription of what was originally a piano piece, transcribed for two players to play on Marimba. Apparently Bonnie was making faces at me the whole time and I never noticed. Oh well, the point with this piece was to have fun and we sure did!
