This piece was recorded in response to a request. It is not particularly pianistic, and plays rather like an orchestral reduction of an operetta score: I have disabled ratings and comments! Lecocq (1832-1918) - born the year before Brahms and died the same year as Debussy - is best known for his comic opera 'La Fille de Madame Angot'. The piece was published in the journal 'L'Illustration' in February 1899.
