Painting a bright white object? Don't just reach for the white paint...
Painting it all white will make it look flat. You've got to really look carefully to see the subtle value changes that do occur even within bright white objects. Part of what is called 'conserving values' is making yourself hold off from those bright highlights till the very last moment
