2017 is the year where labour laws in Ontario will change. Through the government's Changing Workplaces Review, twenty-five years after their last major review, this is a once in a generation opportunity to enact real change. Can basic labour standards be fixed to address inequities of part-time, casual, temporary, and contract jobs? Will updates address precarious employment and the growing low wage economy? Can workers' rights be expanded to include paid sick days, strong enforcement, and equal pay for equal work?
Join Deena Ladd and Laura Cattari to learn how the Workers’ Action Centre is zoning in on six critical areas of change, and how you can get involved in the movement to enhance labour standards and workers’ rights.
