Котьянц Геворк Вартанович родился 12 ноября 1906 года в селе Шуша в Армении.
В 1927-1929 годах Котьянц занимался в частной студии в Пятигорске. В 1934-1935 годах продолжид обучение на Высших курсах повышения квалификации художников в Ленинграде у Павла Наумова, Александра Карева, Рудольфа Френца. Участник выставок с 1930 года. Член ЛОСХ с 1957 года. Писал натюрморты, портреты, жанровые и историко-революционные композиции. Персональные выставки в Ленинграде (1979) и Москве (1985). Произведения Геворка Котьянца находятся в музеях и частных собраниях в России, Франции, Италии, США и других странах.


Gevork Vartanovich Kotiantz was born November 12, 1906 in Shusha, Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian Empire. In 1927-1935 he studied in private Art Studio in Pyatigorsk, Northern Caucus, then at the State refresher courses in Leningrad, where he studied of Pavel Naumov, Alexander Karev and Rudolf Frentz. Since 1930 Kotiantz has participated in Art Exhibitions. He painted genre and historical paintings, portraits, still lifes. His personal exhibitions were in Leningrad (1979), and in Moscow (1985). Most famous for his decorative paintings of still life. Since 1957, Kotiantz was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists. Gevork Kotiantz died in Saint Petersburg in 1996. His paintings reside in Art museums and private collections in the Russia, Armenia, France, Italy, in the U.S., and throughout the world.
