The Top 5 most disappointing games of 2011 deserve to be in this list because they just did not live up to the hype. Game companies made a big marketing push for their top games, but in the end these games just fell short. Developers created all kinds of features, but while playing you don't need the innovations.

There have been releases far worse compared to those in this list. Think about Call of Juarez: The Cartel, or what about the co-op game Hunted: Demon's Forge. But there was not much hype for these games... Yet, companies created a lot of hype for the following games that, in the end, brought nothing new to the market and just fell short.

5. Assassin's Creed Revelations (Ubisoft - pc, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3)
4. Need for Speed: The Run (EA - pc, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3)
3. Dragon Age II (EA - pc, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3)
2. Brink (Bethesda - pc, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3)
1. Duke Nukem Forever (2K Games - pc, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3)
