So I recently bought a 1982 Honda Cm250 off craigslist. Real cheap. My first motorcycle. I'm a novice, and completed the motorcycle safety course, but know little about engine mechanics.

I had a guy who fixes motorcycles professionally take a look at it. He replaced a few parts, cleaned things up, inspected it, and said it was running great.

I rode it around for a week or so and it was awesome. The other night I took my girlfriend out for a ride and it went horribly. The bike would just turn off and stall as I was coming to a stop at stop signs while downshifting, and wouldn't start after it stalled etc etc. Getting back home was a hassle.

This morning I took it out and it started, but only with the choke completely out. It was riding much more jerky and seemed to be going faster in first gear and shifting seemed harder.

After a few minutes of riding I've noticed that it simply wont idle when I push the choke back in. The bike just slowly dies. (see the video) Is this just a simple cold engine that needs to warm up more? Any and all advice would be very helpful!

tldr: new bike. ran great. now has trouble starting and staying on. runs more jerky. see video.
