Hey guys, I'm Phillips from Fit College.

You may or may not have heard of intermittent fasting? This is going anywhere between 8-16 hours without food. In studies it has shown many beneficial effects on brain health, lifespan and blood sugar regulation.. but how do you know if you should try out this diet?
One of the proposed mechanisms for why these health benefits occur is that fasting is a stress on the body, your body adapts to the stress and then it is more resistant to stresses in the future.. wallah heath benefits.

If you are already chronically overworked, over-stressed, or don't get enough sleep, fasting can add in extra additional stress that your body just does not need. It can throw off your hormone balances and make you more grumpy and tired.

So if you are a calm individual give intermittent fasting a go and see if it works for you. If you are super stressed out at the moment, maybe wait a bit before you try out this diet.
