I demo the voxel engine I've been working on over the past year! I also play an arrangement of what will likely be the game's theme song on the guitar, and narrate some of the design decisions going into the project.

For now, I've decided to name the project Nebulous Rax: "nebulous" meaning "foggy or haze-like", and "rax" meaning "to stretch." I'll leave you to ponder the vagueness of my awesome new title!

So what will set Nebulous Rax apart from the crowd? It will be an RPG inspired by Dragon Ball and Star Control II, relying heavily on narrative, story-driven elements. Procedural generation will play a substantial mechanical role, but will only tangentially affect the plot. The player will need to interact with various alien civilizations and make crucial decisions, leveraging their absurd, legendary strength and abilities in the process.

This video was originally made with a general, Minecraft-y audience in mind, so apologies for a lack of technical information if you hail from more Computer Science-y realms.
