Description
Was delighted with the use of the brand new, week old stainless steel apple Watch. Took off for my shower at the gym and had it back on, and shortly after, noticed a black mass or dead spot appeared at the upper edge of the retina display between noon and one o'clock. I restarted and re-set the watch but the dead spot remained. Walked back to epiCentre ION and here you can view one of the staff there reviewing the problem. Then sent it in immediately to third-party service centre QCD Technology where the technician said that this was caused by hard pressure on the display. That was 18 July 2015. Today, 23 July 2015, QCD Technology called to say that apple had reverted not to replace the screen and they offered me to buy a new watch as replacement. Consider the logic: (a) if normal use can cause faults which appear as if "hard pressure" was used, doesn't apple's new "force touch" mean it will exonerate the manufacturer or LG from any faults caused by pressure on the display, (b) why then launch a new feature like "force touch" when normal use can already result in faults technicians are claiming are caused by "hard pressure"? Does QCD Technology even care about what the owner customers say about the fault? Where's the evidence that apple engineers took a real look at this problem. What if more watches show up with this fault? Or, what if my watch was the only one, which does imply the possibility of a QC issue and should be under warranty, or at least my statutory rights in Singapore under the new "lemon laws" must apply.

Wondering if other #appleWatch owners are aware of this problem with the #RetinaDisplay #DeadMass #BlackMass
