The dark clouds of Brazil's corruption scandal are thickening. The once popular president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will be formally back in office today as chief of staff to the current President Dilma Rousseff. When the appointment was announced thousands gathered in the capital Brasilia to protest. Mr Lula da Silva is being investigated in a major corruption scandal.The protestors think he has been given this job to give him immunity from prosecution. Ms Rousseff, who's facing impeachment proceedings herself, said the former president could still be prosecuted by the Supreme Court.
