UPDATE: On July 2, 2013, almost one year later, Florida prosecutors entered into evidence at the Zimmerman murder trial parts of Hannity's George Zimmerman interview! The State did not discuss it, they simply played it for the jury and the tape will be available for the jury to review during deliberations.

Note: This interview was arranged BEFORE attorney Mark O'Mara was retained as counsel. Obviously, MOM advised against it. However, Zimmerman insisted (I assume in part because at this time Zimmerman was arguably the most hated man in America. Even the POTUS told the world "If I had a son he would look like Trayvon Martin.")

So I am sure at the time Zimmerman thought "What have I got to lose. Crump, Sharpton and even Washington, have Judged me guilty and called for my execution. So I might as well try to save my life or plead my case in the court of public opinion."

Note: Parts of the interview were "redacted" (edited out) BEFORE it was shown to the jury.

Note: IMO the interview is consistent with the main elements of Zimmerman's account of that night. Those who want to make a lot of noise and brand Zimmerman as a liar, keep in mind that two (02) state witnesses (Officer Doris Singleton, Officer Chris Serino) say that when someone is telling what happened that every telling will have differing details from the others.

In fact, Serino said he would consider it very suspicious if someone told the same story each time. He said that if Zimmerman told every detail the same in the interviews THAT would indicate he was lying. He said that as an experienced detective people telling the truth change the small details over time. Liars tend to memorize a story and stick with it, including small details.

Here is George Zimmerman's news Q & A on the Hannity Show, that was on Fox News on July 18, 2012.

This is big news since all we have heard on the national news is coverage of things from Trayvon Martin's side, or a media perspective. This is the first time George Zimmerman has appeared on the news and subjected himself to questions.
