This is the opening sequence from Jonathan Demme's film based on a true story (well Melvin's version anyway) about a milkman in Nevada who has a chance meeting with Howard Hughes who subsequently leaves him his entire fortune. The characters get talking in the 1st 15 minutes of the film and establish plot and character. The rest of the film is a joy, one of my favorites and the film lesson is clear here, get your characters talking to each other early - 10-15 pages is just fine, it will get cut back with edits.
