The UK has built a multimillion-dollar fake Afghanistan village complete with suicide bombings and real Afghani actors. We spent a week in the top-secret military facility and witnessed first hand how realistic and downright frightening this training could be.

Well, that's how you put your limp amputee military members to work. There's that at least. I know just about everyone, if not everyone, who sees this will not have been in combat. The training goes to shit in a fire fight. people shoot each other accidentally, civilians get shot accidentally and people die for no reason at all. I can understand this type of training camp to a point, but watching them coordinate a large team to track the escapee...that does not happen in that manner at all. It is SUPPOSED to happen like that, but ti does not. Usually you have a few men in pursuit until they get freaked, then they radio in last know point, assumed rate of speed and a billion dollar jet comes and drops $50k in bombs to attempt to kill 1 or 2 guys It is a shame that England is also in this whole middle eastern pile of shit. I mean, with what they have done to the Irish for hundreds of years, they should be the masters at this by now. Sort of fails to showcase their occupation skills to say the least....maybe they should just go home and abandon Ireland while they are at it.

at least the US actually uses 39 palms (a huge training grounds) to train the soldiers to uses their weapons (and pilots to do airstrikes), but the brits are basically using this to get the soldier used to and indifferent to death blood and mothers screams - psychological conditioning!

A glimpse of any town in Britain in a few decades time. Afghanistan and Iraq biggest waste of money imaginable, the Al Qaeda camps and their backers did not warrant a full scale invasion doomed to achieve nothing in the long run.
Wtf vice are just propoganda the calibre bit is staged we injure instead of kill as it takes 2 people or 1 to get the injurd person out so they can't fight it's called common logic you Marxist basterds
this is the same as 29 palms at the marine depo in california , this is actually pretty normal to make mock villages so you can train units better for what they will see

The British use smaller caliber rounds to injure. This is a tactic which is used, its not just cutting corners. If you shot somebody with the 7.62 round, it would injure them leaving them potentially immobile, this would mean they would need to be extracted by one of their own. This allows another enemy to go into your sights to potentially save their injured man. Thus the cycle goes on. There's not point, in a battle situation, to save a dead man.
