Following the devastating earthquakes in 2006 and 2008, The Bantul Kindergarten under the umbrella of Yayasan Manusia Untuk Masyarakat (MUM Foundation) has rebuilt 79 kindergartens and one school bringing education, employment, and self-esteem back to the families of the region. This program continues today with much needed financial support in the way of repairs and educational supplies.
Yayasan Cinta Kasih Anak, or "For the Love of Children," is a nonprofit organization in Indonesia founded by Alison Chester and Riyanto Samadi, which supports the Kindergarten project, the Sumba Well Project, and Jodie O'Shea House.
