AZ 8901 - a Device for Measuring Air Flow Speed and Temperature, Heat-Loss Anemometer A device measuring air flow speed and temperature is also known as heat-loss anemometer. It is indispensable when performing tasks related to manufacturing and installation of air conditioning systems in living and non-living premises, creating ventilation and heating networks, as well as conducting technical measurements during construction works. Here you can see one of such devices. It is the heat-loss anemometer model AZ8901. The device can measure air flow speeds ranging from 0.7 to 25 m/s with a resolution of 0.01 as well as ambient temperature ranging from -10 to 50 Celsius degrees with a resolution of 0.1 degree. It consists of two main parts: a fan with a handle and a control and display unit. The fan is the air flow speed detector. It is placed within the capture range. The body of the fan also contains a thermal sensor. The fan and the control unit are connected with a flexible wire. Thus, it is more convenient to make measurements. Additional functions include recording maximum and minimum parameters, saving, and viewing data with the help of memory. The device is easy to control and use. It is ready to make measurements right after we turn it on. Place the blades perpendicularly to the flow whose speed we need to measure. The readings are displayed on the large screen. To fix the readings, press the HOLD button. The device uses one 9 V battery. Apart from that it comes inside a rigid case.
