trekmovie.com has an article up that compares the ditch Star Trek was in after "The Motion Picture" (or as some called it the 'Motionless Picture') with the quandary it is in today. It gives voice to the hope that Abrams could do with Star Trek XI what Nicholas Mayer did for the TOS movie series with "Wrath of Kahn".
After the release of ST:TMP it was thought that that was the end for Star Trek, but then came Mayer, Bennett and ST II and we were off again.
Julia Ecklar wrote and performed a filksong about the revival of Trek because of ST II and somebody made a video to it. I thought it might be nice to have this piece of fandom (and music video making) history remembered.
Note: I did not make this video. I do not know who did, except that I suspect it must have been a person from Great Britain. I tried to enhance the video somewhat, but please bear in mind that it was done in the age of VCR's and is about 20 years old.
