This was my portion of 'Reason on the Bayou' at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge on 2013/04/14. It was hosted by the Secular Student Alliance, Lake Charles Free Thinkers, Capital Area Atheists and Agnostics, NOSHA, and the Louisiana chapter of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. All the speakers seemed to be of one-mind that day, how to deal with the encroachment of religion into politics at every level regardless where where you are in America. For my part, I spoke about our recent confrontation with the city council of Rowlett Texas, regarding their insistence on holding a prayer invocation as a public display when each meeting convenes.
BTW, I often have complaints on the sound quality on a lot of my public speaking videos. After repeated issues with professional video crews failing to provide usable audio files, I finally called Seth Andrews (professional sound guy) asking what sort of lapel mic to buy. He said he'd get back to me, but instead he bought me a Tascam DR-05 recorder, and shipped it overnight. That was extremely generous, especially considering that he bought me a present on his birthday. This was my first opportunity to use it, and I was very glad to have it. So thank you, Seth.
