All ballet dancers are carefully sketched out by artist Maria Berenice La Placa before being checked by Ambar Gavilano, currently a professional dancer who reviews the body position, style and expression to ensure they correspond to the character being depicted. The principal and soloist ballerinas are based on real life ballet dancers who previously participated in an audition-contest.
