http://aveda.com Add a new twist to a classic smoky eye look with Aveda makeup. Jane Geason, Global Educator for Makeup demonstrates how to achieve a modern smoky eye with just a few products.

Start by prepping your eyelids with Color Options Eye Shadow Transformer to extend the wear and resist creasing of your eye shadow. This will help your makeup glide on smoothly and last longer.

For the shadow, use Petal Essence Eye Color Trio to simplify creating a smoky eye. Start by using the lightest shadow shade and work to the darkest, while also adding the darker shade to your bottom lashes. Apply Petal Essence Eye Definer to your upper and lower lids, going around the entire eye. Use an eye smudging brush to diffuse the color.

To help eyeliner stay put, go over it with the darkest of your eyeshadow colors. Finish your look by applying Mosscara to upper and lower lashes, wiggling the bush to get the most even colors. Accent brows with the deepest shade of your eyeshadow trio.

You’ll now have a new spin on an old classic, perfect for a night out on the town. For more information about Aveda, visit the link above.
