South Detectives Division is looking to identify the suspect who robbed a 57 year-old-female in Wharton.

On February 12, 2014, at 7:55am, the complainant was walking on the 1200 block of Ellsworth Street when he was approached by an unknown male from behind. Once the suspect was close enough he struck the complainant in the back of her head with an unknown object knocking her to the ground. As the complainant was on the ground the suspect ripped her purse from her shoulder then fled the area and was last seen running north on 12th Street crossing Washington Avenue. As a result the complainant received minor injuries and was transported to Jefferson Hospital.

Suspect Description: Male, unknown race, 5'4", 130 lbs.
