ODYSSEUS is an electric rover developed by Arber Llenga and Konstantinos Patsonas under the supervision of Dr. Alexander Astaras, as a final year project at the Dept. of Automation of the Alexander Technical Educational Institute of Thessaloniki (ATEITH). It is capable of autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance, using ultrasound sensors, a GPS unit, a digital compass and an Arduino Uno microcontroller board. The chassis is a modified Peg-Perego electric kid cart which was obtained for free through the local Thessaloniki Freecycle group.
