Hi I'm Justin Hicks. Do you struggle with keeping your left arm straight? Well, let me go over a different way to approach this which should help out quite a bit. When most golfers focus on keeping their left arm straight a couple things tend to happen which don't help create good golf shots. The first is the left arm tends to get too tight. There's too much tension. And the second thing is the left arm wants to disconnect from the body. What we're trying to do in a golf swing, is because our golf swing is a circle, and every circle has a radius, we're just trying to keep the hands, the same distance from the body. So I'll use this hoola hoop here as an example. So if I do this you'll notice my radius is staying about the same. I want to be careful not to get too wide or to get too narrow. What I would have the golfer do is first try to get the arc and radius about the same, the second thing I'd have them focus on is keeping their right arm straighter. So if their struggling a lot with their width my focus would be on getting the right arm straighter rather than the left arm. And if they're really struggling with it, what you can do is put a tube on like this. You can find this at your Home Depot and what it does it bends a little bit and with this tube on it limits the amount my arms can bend. Hope you find this helpful for your game.
