Brisbane's most famous street was high and dry during the devastating floods that changed the course of many Queenslanders' lives. This water shed moment in Queensland's history reminded us all of the resilience of Queenslanders in the face of immense challenge! For Caxton Street, it is time to give back to those in the streets and suburbs around us who were inundated - those same Queenslanders who celebrate our treasured lifestyle each May at the Seafood Festival.

The Caxton Street 2011 Flood Relief Appeal is an initiative created by the Caxton Street Seafood and Wine Festival. This Brisbane iconic festival has announced that two dollars from every ticket pre sold to the Caxton Street Seafood and Wine Festival on 1 May will be donated now to the Premiers Disaster Relief Appeal.

To help Queenslanders rebuild and recover, this means that as soon as you purchase your ticket from 1 February, your donation will reach those who have lost so much. So in 2011, Queensland's biggest street party will not only provide a stellar line-up of great food and entertainment, it continues the great Queensland tradition of pitching in and helping your mates!
Tickets for the Festival will go on sale through Moshtix from 1 February 2011 and can be purchased through our website
