This is the first song I ever put music to (though not by far the first song I ever wrote). It has grown a little bit over the years, but it is still mostly E and A the entire song. I look forward to finding someone to sing it about someday.
Lyrics: You are so sweet and kind I'm just an out of my mind Third-rate poet I'm not used to talking this way But from these words you hear me say You wouldn't know it
Chorus: This is breaking through My rationality Piercing into The very heart of me And I can't help But welcome the sting Because in you I Have found something Beautiful
Everyone can see you're a beauty But you know that's not why you see You are my song Cause every time I hear your voice Like a melody, I have no choice But sing along
I could say That your hair is dark and enchanting I could say That your smile is bright and shining I could say That your eyes make everything seem dull But then I'd be lying About why I Find you beautiful
And I could say that your hair is like a raven's wings but what does that really mean And I could say that your smile wins every war But what good would that really be for And I could say that your eyes are like starry skies But that's not why, why
