On January 23, 2012, Chief Justice Christine Durham delivered the State of the Judiciary address to the Utah State Senate. She discussed Justice Court reform initiatives, the expansion of problem-solving courts, initiatives for self-represented litigants, e-filing, and the court visitor program. She also announced she will be stepping down as chief justice and remain on the court. Justice Matthew Durrant with assume the role of chief justice in April 2012.
